This was one of the first big differences I noticed between high school and college classes. It was my choice whether I showed up for class, and there were deals to be struck with roommates regarding the dreaded 9:00 am intro class. Or was it an 8:00 am class? Man, that’s even worse.
Blessedly, those morning classes are far behind me.
Be careful how you exercise it, though. One time in college, by sheer coincidence the entire class of twelve *except* me decided to skive off. The prof was cool enough to give a pop quiz that I got an automatic 100 on.
Ah, the (seemingly) rare example when being responsible pays off!
