Chapter: Autumn 1911, Invitation to the Dance

The turkey trot referred to here is not a 5K charity walk on Thanksgiving before the Macy’s parade, but an insanely popular animal dance variation of the One-Step popular in the early 20th century. I have personally performed this dance, and it is ridiculous. In fact, there is probably footage of me on YouTube somewhere demonstrating just how ridiculous it is.
Maybe one day I’ll come up with a “Shoggoth Shuffle.”
I look forward to seeing the Shoggoth Shuffle on youtube but I doubt it will be as funny as the Turkey Trot! I expect it will be a pretty grim affair to a real funeral dirge…
